We have been on the go since arriving home from Santa Fe last week. Last Sunday, Tyler went to Gulfstream Race Track for the first time. Papa thought he should get him used to horse racing early! Mimi and Papa were selected as the Honorary Chairs for a fundraising event for the Haven (a home for boys ages 8-14 who don't have homes, where Christian also volunteers) so we went to the track to celebrate that!! Of course, Tyler had to get all dressed up for the event.
Papa's horse named "Entertaining" was scheduled to run that day. He had special silks (the jockey's uniform) made just for the occasion that represented the Haven. Well, everyone was there hoping for a win to make the day extra special and...she WON!! It was very exciting. Right before the race, Papa and daddy rubbed their betting tickets on Tyler's head for good luck, so I'm convinced that was the lucky charm for making Entertaining win! After the trip to the winner's circle, we thought Tyler should learn how to bet, so here he is trying his hand at the betting machine. It was a very fun day!!
